Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security & Risk Management is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, governance and regulatory compliance across SHEIN’s global footprint. It is composed of a team of security professionals, innovators and thought leaders that have had decades of global security experience, led large scale transformations, and served in Fortune 500 executive roles.

We’re seeking a full-time SOC Intern (Official title: Intern) for our San Diego-based office. This is a full-time 8-week internship opportunity, starting on June 16, 2025, and ending on August 8, 2025. This internship offers hands-on experience in cybersecurity monitoring, incident detection, and response activities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and passionate about protecting critical infrastructure and digital assets.
Interns will be offered an opportunity to get hands on training and application of cybersecurity tools while working alongside analysts in the SHEIN Security Operations Center. This experience is a fast-paced introduction into the world of cyber defense and intrusion analysis. Applicants should be familiar with the fundamentals of information technology and have successfully completed corresponding collegiate level course work.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring real-time alerts and events using security tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.).
- Perform initial triage of security incidents, including log analysis and threat identification.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate and escalate potential security threats.
- Participate in SOC shift activities to gain a comprehensive understanding of monitoring processes.
- Enrollment in Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Engineering or Science, Distributed Retail Networks, Information Sciences Technology, Cyber Security or related field is preferred.
- Minimum course work with a 3.0 average or higher completed in: Computer Architecture, Fundamental Programming, and Introduction to Networking
- Basic understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security principles.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools and technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Enthusiasm to learn in a fast-paced environment.
