Shelburne Veterinary Hospital has an opening for an experienced, full-time veterinary technician (CVT preferred). Our talented team of animal lovers provides exceptional care to our patients and a positive experience to our clients in a supportive team environment, with a strong emphasis on staff education, skill development, and team collaboration.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and professional team player who can problem solve, critically think, and communicate effectively in our fast-paced, privately owned veterinary hospital.
Our qualifications:
- Degree in animal science is strongly preferred; Certified Veterinary Technician designation preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary technician role is required.
- Proficiency with anesthetic and sedation monitoring, phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiography, patient restraint, and other technical skills performed routinely in a general medicine practice.
- Initiative and desire to help others without being asked.
- Well organized and professional with the ability to shift priorities as needed to adapt to change.
What will you do?
- Always deliver exceptional customer service.
- Work collaboratively with a unified team to deliver an exceptional patient experience every time.
- Run appointments, complete diagnostics and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Assist with surgery, including monitoring patient vitals.
- Take initiative to maintain a clean, working environment.
- Function positively, efficiently, and professionally in a fast-moving and high-stress environment

When will you work?
- Full-time, part-time or per diem position – you decide!
- Monday – Friday shifts available with rotating Saturday hours
Licensing/Certification:
- SVH prioritizes advancement of our staff and would support pursuit of a Veterinary Technician Certification
Physical Demands:
- Requires sitting, standing, kneeling, lifting, restraining, walking, speaking, hearing ability, visual accuracy, repetitive motions, fast reflexes.
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
