We are seeking a highly creative, innovative, and versatile Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team as the company’s first in-house designer. In this role, you will be the creative force behind our marketing collateral, ensuring a consistent and engaging brand presence across all touchpoints. From print menus and promotional signage at our stands to digital campaigns and social media content, you will play a vital role in shaping how our brand is seen and experienced.
Swensons Drive-In Restaurants, LLC was founded in 1934 by Wesley T. “Pop” Swensons in Akron, Ohio. Swensons is a drive-in restaurant providing high quality burgers and milk shakes. We have grown into 20 drive-in restaurants throughout Ohio. Swensons is looking to grow and strives to be Best in Brand in all we do. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the creative direction of the company.

Job Qualifications
A passion for the food / restaurant industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.
3 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in the food, restaurant, or hospitality industry.
Strong portfolio highlighting expertise in print, digital and multimedia graphic design for social media channels.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
Experience in designing for both print and digital platforms.
Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools is a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
Essential Job Duties :
Marketing Collateral Creation : Design and produce all print materials for our stands, including menus, signage, promotional posters, packaging, and other customer-facing assets.
Social Media Support : Collaborate with the social media team to create compelling graphics, animations, and short videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Digital Design : Develop creative assets for email campaigns, website updates and online advertisements.
Brand Consistency : Ensure all designs align with our brand identity, maintaining a cohesive look and feel across all marketing efforts.
Photography and Video : Assist with styling and producing photo and video shoots to showcase menu items, promotions, and customer experiences.
Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to understand project goals, timelines, and creative needs.
Projects and assignments as required by the job and supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field preferred.

Ability to work in an office environment, sitting and / or standing for long periods of time.
