Job Summary
This position is responsible for ensuring all clients comply with the standard operating procedures of treatment courts and maintains compliance with court orders and related requirements. Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Treatment Court Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinated entry of clients into various treatment facilities and/or substance abuse educational programs as needed.
- Maintains accurate typed records of clients’ information.
- Maintains confidentiality and professional ethical standards required by state and federal statutes.
- Attend drug court training, meetings, staffing sessions, and court.
- The case manager will field all incoming crisis and inquiry calls for assistance, including documentation of same, as it pertains to deferred.
- Process complaints, determining the appropriate level of court intervention.
- Processes drug court applications, and sets up MIDAS file.
- Meets with participants, parents, victims, law enforcement, attorneys, Etc., to discuss and process case filings.
- Consults and works in conjunction with drug court Treatment Coordinator on case recommendations and treatment modalities.
- Enters and maintains case information on participants in the MIDAS computer system.
- Establishes a hard file ensuring that all relevant information is recorded and relayed to the appropriate team.
- Maintains a caseload, monitoring a participant’s process, which may entail school, employment, drug and alcohol treatment programs, counseling, restitution payments, etc.
- Conducts meetings with participants and service providers as needed.
- Establishes a payment plan for restitution on applicable cases.
- Communicates with outside agencies and assists with coordination of services.
- Assist the courts with interviewing and assessing client’s eligibility into SCCC programs.
- omplete necessary paperwork with clients to determine eligibility.
- Complete case status summaries and provide them to the court prior to any hearings.
- Attend all court appearances.
- The case manager is responsible for administering drug screens and checking drug screen results as needed.
- The case manager is responsible for holding regular monthly meetings with clients.
- The case manager must use sound judgment when issuing sanctions and formal warnings/notices for clients concerning any disciplinary actions.
- Any additional responsibilities deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
Qualifications and Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BS or BA degree from SACS accredited university
- Direct experience administering policies and procedure
- Caseload management experience
