What are the responsibilities and job description for the Perioperative Manager position at SHELBY COUNTY CHRIS A MYRTUE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL?
SCHEDULE: Full-time; 36 hours per week; Monday - Friday; Takes surgery call on as needed basis
The Perioperative Nurse Manager plans, directs, supervises and manages nursing activities in the delivery of quality, cost-effective patient care in the perioperative areas (operating room, endoscopy, pre-op, Phase II Recovery and recovery room). He/she coordinates surgery activities and programs with other hospital services and involved physicians. He/she assumes 24 hour clinical and management responsibility for the perioperative area. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) general operations (patient care, staff, supplies/equipment); policies and procedures; quality improvement/quality assurance activities; member of Nursing Quality Improvement and Nurse Managers team.
