What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager A - CHANT (Health Services) position at Shelby County Government?
Position Summary This position is funded by a grant for a duration of time as defined by the grantor. Manages the care coordination program for recipients of Community Health Access and Navigation in Tennessee (CHANT) programs.
Pay Grade: 55 Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications 1. Five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience, in which one (1) year of experience in grant-writing and/or contract management; AND 2. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public health, business administration, case management, or a closely related field; OR 3. An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience. 4. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities 1. Assists in preparing and establishing CHANT goals and developing sustainability plans, including grant proposals and grant applications. 2. Identifies and maintains relationships with community partners. 3. Assists with budget preparations and other contractual documents. 4. Manages assigned staff including hiring, termination, discipline, etc. 5. Reviews payroll, financial documents, and mileage reimbursements. 6. Assists in reconciling billing reports and claims. 7. Reviews data reports for continuous quality improvement. 8. Conducts monthly reviews of the management of the daily work activities. 9. Assists during public health emergencies and participates in agency training. 10. Provides car seat education and training to Shelby County residents. 11. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
KSAs 1. Extensive knowledge of program and project management. 2. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills; attention to detail. 3. Knowledge of developing and monitoring budgets and technical reports. 4. Knowledge of program medical terms and procedures. 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional, diverse environment. 6. Ability to resolve issues, maintain confidentiality, and prioritize multiple tasks. 7. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) or similar applications and software.
Special Requirements 1. Must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license or secure one as of employment date. 2. Must have daily access to a personal operable automobile and meet county requirements for automobile insurance upon the date of employment. 3. Must be able to attend meetings and activities on weekends and/or after regular work hours. 4. Child Passenger Safety (CPS) certification must be obtained within six months of the employment date. 5. Must maintain all required certifications and licenses throughout duration of employment.
