Position Summary
Perform complex and detailed administrative tasks for assigned courtrooms and departments under direct supervision.
Pay Grade: 41H
Minimum Qualifications
1. Two (2) years of experience in appropriate clerical, bookkeeping, data processing, or statistical work and one (1) year of college study (30 semester hours or 36 quarters) from an accredited college or university; OR
2. High school diploma or process a GED
3. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Organizes, routes, and files court case folders and posts.
2. Secures information for judges, attorneys, and litigants. Inform parties of scheduled court appearances.
3. Provides information to various state and county offices as required.
4. Processes various legal documents for the courts and the public. Scans and files legal documents received by the court.
5. Performs data entry. Records case dispositions and court orders.
6. Serves as primary contact for coordinating, collecting, and processing court fees.
7. Performs other related duties as directed.
KSA’s
1. Knowledge of the various legal instruments issued by the court.
2. Ability to maintain an established system of records and files.
3. Ability to work with court officials.
4. Ability to become proficient in Microsoft Word and various court computer applications
5. Ability to write legibly on legal documents and court files.
6. Good communication skills and organizational skills.
7. Ability to perform accurate arithmetic computations.
