Work is performed under the direction of the Recreation Program Superintendent. Performs difficult technical and physical work supervising patrons participating in swimming, swim lessons, programs at the pool, swim meets and special events at the pool.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervising all aquatic center staff; helps with Inservice/ training of lifeguards. Supervising aquatics center swimming and swim lessons, performing related tasks;Schedules duties of lifeguards for swim meets, special events, and pool parties; Assures the safety of patrons of all ages; Instructs patrons as relates to aquatics center rules, regulations, and procedures; Ensures the cleanliness and safety of the facility; Prepares written and oral reports and performs related tasks as required; Schedules aquatic staff and maintains timesheets; Trains staff during in-service on a weekly bases; Completes performance evaluations for aquatic staff.

The worker is subject to outside environmental conditions such as extreme heat, noise, hazards, atmosphere condition and chemicals.
