Work is performed under the direction of the Recreation Program Superintendent and Aquatics Manager. Performs difficult technical and physical work supervising patrons participating in swimming lessons.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Supervising and instructing swim lessons as if on a swim team, performing related tasks; Performs duties of lifeguard to watch over the swim lesson/practice; Assures the safety of patrons of all ages; Instructs patrons as relates to aquatics center rules, regulations, and procedures; Ensures the equipment use for swim club is put up daily; Makes sure the area used is kept clean at all times; Prepares written and oral reports and performs related tasks as required; If applies may have a small swim meet at the end of each session.
