***Duties***
- Review and analyze medical records and patient information to ensure accurate medical coding and billing
- Assign appropriate ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures for reimbursement purposes
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for medical services
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients to resolve billing discrepancies or issues
- Stay updated on changes in medical coding guidelines and regulations
***Requirements***
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, DRG systems, and medical coding principles
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and billing software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with healthcare professionals and insurance companies
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of insurance claim submission processes and reimbursement procedures
