POSITION : Behavior Support Assistant - Full Time (35 hours), Benefits Available

EFFECTIVE DATE : Immediatly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Assist students with self-regulation (Prioritize self-regulation within the classroom setting)
  • Meet with students individually and in small groups to teach self-

regulation, executive function, and / or social skills

  • Promote, support, and model the SCS Tier 1 Social Emotional

    • Learning initiative

  • Assist MTSS team with behavior referrals through observation, data collection, and behavior plan development for Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports
  • Develop, implement, and train staff on student-specific behavior

    • intervention plans and supports

  • Support, train, and coach teachers and paraprofessionals on

    • strategies to help with student behavior and decrease time outside of the classroom setting

  • Member of building-level crisis response team
  • Collaborate and communicate with administration, staff, and parents
  • Collaborate with building social worker and other mental health

    • supports in the school and community

  • Performs other tasks as the Director, Superintendent or his / her

    • designee may assign

  • Maintains satisfactory attendance
  • Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies, and Employee Handbook
  • Models Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives

    • Building / Campus Hendricks Elementary
