SUMMARY : Perform day-to-day operations that support the smooth operation of the building library media center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs media center day-to-day operations such as report gathering, inventory, circulation, catalog maintenance, patron inquiries, and student supervision
- Creates and maintains displays and promotions in the library space, in the digital space, and around the school
- Works cooperatively with classroom teachers to support lessons and literacy intervention
- Willingness to attend professional development opportunities
- Engages children of all ages in a positive manner
- Well organized and takes initiative
- Actively participates in building level committees that promote reading
- Good communication skills
- Maintains satisfactory attendance
- Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies and Employee Handbook
- Models Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Supervises student patrons and student assistants in the media center and other areas as directed. Class supervision shall be the responsibility of the classroom teacher.
