Overview
Applicants must currently hold a valid Peace Officer Professional Standards (POPS) certificate administered by the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council (KLEC). Applicants from out of state must be evaluated through KLEC for reciprocity. More information on out of state applicants can be found at: klecs.ky.gov/reciprocity.
This is a part-time Officer position not to exceed 24 hours per week.
Current pay for part time position is $35.00 per hour, which does not include KLEPF or shift differential.
Part time positions now receive KLEPF pay at $2.13 per hour added to pay.
Late afternoon and overnight shifts enjoy shift differential of an extra $1.50 to $2.00 an hour.
Additional $2.00 an hour for officers assigned as the Officer in Charge (OIC) in the absence of a Sergeant.
Shifts vary and accommodate needs of the department.
Part time officers will be directly supervised by the department Lieutenant and their schedules will be determined by schools, scheduled vacations or special events where additional manpower is needed.
Minimum 2-hour court pay

All uniforms, equipment and firearms will be provided
Authorized Off Duty details.
In house gym, open 24 hours
