What are the responsibilities and job description for the Beach Attendant position at Shell Island Resort?
Bellman / Beach Attendant
Basic Function
Assist guests with luggage at check-in and check-out, beach attendant set up and break down beach chairs and umbrellas as well as minor maintenance and area references and directions. Monitor guest and owner parking permits and verification.
Responsibilities
- Must adhere to Shell Island Handbook and Standard Operating Procedures
- Aid guests with luggage at check-in
- Aid guests with luggage at check-out
- Move all rental items to the beach and set up for guests
- Must have an active license to drive beach truck.
- Assist front desk with minor maintenance and housekeeping issues
- Help inform guests not only on facilities amenities and parking, but also surrounding area
- Maintain an organized and debris free entrance
Physical
Must be able to stand 4-8 hours at a time
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
Must be able to push or pull up to 100 lbs
Skills
Good communication skills, positive attitude, and patience
Experience
Customer service experience preferred
