Qualifications:
1. Idaho Teacher Certificate
2. Three (3) or more years of active coaching on the secondary level, with at least one assignment as a head coach or previous Athletic Director /Administrative experience.
3. Knowledge of scheduling process for athletic events and appropriate contracts.
4. Ability to work with students, staff, and the public.
General Job Function and Responsibilities:
- Schedule all school activities to include facility bookings, all athletic events working through the IHSAA, (to include co/extracurricular).
- Aide coaches with transportation scheduling
- Maintain scheduling of events and athletic facilities
- Maintain/organize schedules of workers at events to include administrative/front office staff, hiring of coaching personnel
- Provide new and returning coaches orientation and training as needed.
- Keep coaches informed of all state coaching requirement changes, and maintain records for all coaches.
- Provide coaches with Concussion, First Aid, CPR and medical courses as needed.
- Ensure all athletes have the proper paperwork, physicals, parent/guardian permission, and athlete questionnaire forms before participating in athletics
- Inspect facilities and make recommendations for their maintenance, replacement, or improvement
- The Athletic Director continuously assesses and evaluates all coaching personnel
- Supervise coaches and mentor coaches when issues arise.
- Problem solve with parents, players, coaches and other stakeholders when issues arise.
- Maintain all records pertinent to athletics in an orderly manner.
- Prepare the athletic budget for the school in accordance with budgetary procedures.
- Establish priorities for the purchase of equipment and supplies.
- To include all duties associated with administrative and athletic director responsibilities.
- The individual’s interest must possess the skill to communicate clear expectations for all stakeholders
- Above all, this individual must be able to relate to people.
