Director of Vendor Management $98,656- $128,253 minimum starting pay Job Level: Director Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. What You Will Be Doing: This role will work closely with the Vice President of External Relations to lead a critical, enterprise-wide corporate function that will direct Shelter’s Strategic Vendor Owners, typically Officers and Directors, in their management of Shelter’s vendor portfolio to mitigate risk inherent in Strategic Vendor services and products, to achieve costs savings, to improve operational efficiency, and to enhance collaboration between the company and its strategic vendors. What We're Looking For: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. Typically requires 5 or more years of insurance industry experience. Proven analytical skills, highly collaborative mindset, excellent relationship-building skills, strong work ethic, and proven ability to engage, negotiate with, and influence stakeholders. Typically requires 6 or more years’ experience in vendor selection and negotiation strategies, managing complex RFPs, and with an enterprise-wide vendor management system.
