SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE:
The Assistant Manager should continuously strive to assume all managerial responsibilities within the realm of the job function as set by the Manager. The Assistant Manager should have, as a minimum, demonstrable and verifiable skills associated with leasing, clerical, supervisory, human relations and bookkeeping. The Assistant Manager should be proficient on a typewriter, calculator and possess good telephone skills. The Assistant Manager must be people oriented, self motivated, exhibit a positive personality and be sales motivated.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Manager will assist with the coordination and facilitation of all leasing, administrative, vendor and contractor duties. In addition, the Assistant Manager will develop and improve in the skills and knowledge of resident relations, administration, leasing, clerical and supervision. The Assistant Manager must effectively utilize sales skills to achieve and maintain optimum occupancy via the leasing of units and renewal of existing leases. The Assistant Manager must comply to all established company philosophies, policies and procedures - this is essential for complete and continued success. The Assistant Manager must exhibit loyalty, honesty, moral integrity and ethical conduct. The Assistant Manager must be in constant contact with and working as a team member with the Property Administrator.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Property Manager and the Assistant Manger will communicate daily on any and all planned property operations. The Assistant Manager must demonstrate knowledge and consistency in high standards of customer relations and services, maintain an overall office and model appearance, contribute to all marketing and leasing related daily, weekly and monthly reports. The Assistant Manager must be involved in advertising programs and marketing functions. The Assistant Manager must observe and following Fair Housing guidelines, reporting potential and/or real liabilities to the group manager, regional manager, technical director, Vice President and New Jersey. You must also report unusual occurrences and follow this with an incident report. The Assistant Manager must maintain market involvement on an ongoing basis using market reports, leasing procedures, and other tools through continuing education or internal training, and actively participate in the success of the Resident Renewal program.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
