We are currently looking for a bioinformatician of Immuno-oncology to join our interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large sequencing datasets by applying and developing bioinformatic and statistical methods (e.g. whole genome/whole exome sequencing, RNA-seq, amplicon sequencing, and TCR sequencing).
- Manage and analyze multi-omic datasets (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics) both in exploratory and pipelined fashion.
- Archive and query data from database systems and public repositories and transform and merge multilevel omic data into user-friendly formats.
- Partner closely with R&D scientists to develop, optimize, and troubleshoot NGS workflows and bioinformatic pipelines (e.g. neoantigen prediction and mutational calling).
- Identify, evaluate, and incorporate relevant algorithms and software pipelines by reviewing pertinent literature in bioinformatics and computational biology.
- Masters or PhD in bioinformatics, genomics, computational biology or an equivalent field.
- 3 years of experience using bioinformatics in immune-oncology applications (including experience from PhD).
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, with experience in NGS analysis and bioinformatics pipelines.
- Deep understanding in gene expression in the context of cancer genomics and/or immunology.
- Experience in cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS).
- Experience in neoantigen prediction preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $90,000 - $140,000 (depending on the depth of expertise) 10% performance bonus equity.
