Project Coordinator

Shepherd Communication & Security is seeking a full-time Project Coordinator interested in joining our team of smart, innovative, and entrepreneurial professionals dedicated to the safety and protection of our customer’s most important assets. Shepherd is revolutionizing the way organizations protect their assets, from the latest in mobile-based access control systems to intelligent camera security using advanced analytics. Our solutions address a wide customer base including construction, telecommunications, retail, education, financial, government, and hospitality industries.

Reporting to our Director of Operations, we seek a highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional. The Project Coordinator will demonstrate an ability to deliver services, interact with and manage the expectations of internal and external stakeholders, build and nurture new relationships within customer organizations, and consistently deliver the highest level of customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will create schedules with milestones, due dates, and estimates for materials and other resources such as team members and subcontractors.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Review project specifications to prepare a detailed project logistics plan and goals.
• Ensure accurate and timely logistics are managed to expectations.
• Support daily scheduling assignments and adhere to project requirements.
• Monitor and manage communications for project milestones and deliverables.
• Work with external stakeholders and assist with the submittal of project deliverables.

Skills Requirements:

• Excellent listening, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical concepts in a manner that is understandable to non-technical people.
• Has a strong initiative, work ethic, and a self-starter mindset.
• Possesses a genuine desire to help and foster growth and learning.
• Able to work autonomously, making decisions without significant oversight.
• Must comprehend the concepts related to the management of a project.
• Must be a creative problem solver and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Able to work both in the field (site visits) as well as in the office.
• Is comfortable working with cloud-based software tools.
