What are the responsibilities and job description for the Residential Aide - AL position at Shepherd of the Valley?
Summary:
Cares for residents in assisted living facility, under direction of nursing staff, by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs.
Assists residents with specific needs involving their activities of daily living.
Assists with residents laundry.
Oversees residents meal preparation in their rooms.
Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone.
Communicate with family members
Check resident vitals, weight and blood sugar levels if needed
Use of gait belt if needed
Proper documentation in PCC
*Maintain the confidentiality of all resident, staff and organization information.

Education and/or Experience
