What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician for Rental Properties position at Shepherd Real Estate LLC?
Shepherd Real Estate is in search of a Real Estate Property Maintenance Technician to maintain over 100 rental units, commercial and residential.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants
- Keep the grounds free of debris and trash, mowing/light landscaping as needed
- Minor painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.)
- Minor plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, adding new lines, etc.)
- Performs minor electrical maintenance including, but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools
- General knowledge of all aspects of maintenance repair and service
- HVAC Certification is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and climb ladders
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally
Additional Duties may include:
- Remodeling
- New construction
- Concrete work
Must be able to work independently and communicate issues with tenants. Company vehicle and tools provided. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to pass a drug test. This is a full time position, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with occasional emergency service calls after hours.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
