Position for hire: Plumbing Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumbing Technician to join our team in a residential construction setting. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in new and existing homes. You will work closely with construction teams to ensure that plumbing systems are installed efficiently and in compliance with all codes and regulations.

As a new company, the current position will have substantial administrative duties as well and the candidate must be able to wear multiple hats. The candidate must be able to implement processes and workflows in order to help build a highly efficient company.

Typical responsibilities of a plumbing technician include but are not limited to:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas lines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing layouts.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Perform pipe fitting, soldering, and sealing tasks with precision and safety.
• Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues in newly constructed and existing residential properties.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and compliance with building codes and safety standards.
• Ensure that all installations meet company quality standards and local/state regulations.
• Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and materials on job sites.
• Provide excellent customer service and professional communication with clients when necessary.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as a plumbing technician, preferably in residential construction.
• Valid plumbing license or certification (if required by state/local regulations).
• Proficient in using plumbing tools and equipment.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, blueprints, and safety protocols.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in tight spaces, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
