POSITION OVERVIEW
The weekend Life Skills Coach position is a key role in which staff train students to live more independently. You will work in a college residential setting on weekends to teach real-life skills and promote a fun college experience for the students.
This position is a great way to join our mission without a huge commitment. Choose your schedule based on current shift availabilty, and enjoy the flexibility of working around your other life commitments. Work between 6-21 hours each weekend leaving your weekdays free!
Shifts include:
- Friday 3p-9p
- Saturday 7a-2p and/or 2p-9p
- Sunday 7a-2p and/or 2p-9p
Coverage-only/substitute options also available.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support students with IDD in a college residential setting at an 8:1 student-to-staff ratio
- Train students in cooking, cleaning, safety, time management, and social behavior to promote independent living
- Build positive working relationships with students to foster growth and development
- Complete communication and documentation to promote effective team collaboration
- Take students on off-campus activities to provide a great college experience
