General Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Institutional Giving, the Director of Corporate Giving is responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of a comprehensive corporate giving/sponsorship program for the Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Foundation, Inc. The Director will develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for all corporations. Responsible for the strategy, messaging, and execution of print/digital communication that supports the corporate giving/sponsorship program for campaigns.
Principal Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Customer Relations
- Actively seeks to enhance Sheppard Pratt’s initiatives to meet the needs of patients, families, donors, trustees, staff, local businesses, government, communities, national organizations, and foundations.
- Promotes and maintains positive relationships with representatives of corporations as well as donors, trustees, staff, physicians, clinicians, and patient families.
- Networking in the community, attending events and representing Sheppard Pratt locally and regionally
2. Planning
- Collaborates with the Senior Director of Institutional Giving to develop corporate prospects for the health system.
- Creates a strategic messaging plan appropriate to specific corporate donor populations.
- Responsible to produce corporate giving/sponsorship materials through collaboration with designers and vendors. In the process, the Director will work with the Marketing Department to ensure corporate program collaterals fit within Sheppard Pratt’s communications efforts.
- Utilizes appropriate upgrade techniques to increase corporate support from current donors.
- Identifies and researches sources of support, proactively seeking opportunities to generate new proposals based on corporate guidelines and interests, and by maintaining strong communication ties with corporate donors and prospects.
- Establishes measurable goals, benchmarks, timelines, and budgets for the Corporate giving/sponsorship program.
- Creates a strategic program for the solicitation of corporations to the organization’s campaign.
- Plans and manages the corporate sponsorship program for selected events. Solicits and stewards the sponsors.
3. Donor Administration & Management
- Manages a portfolio of corporate prospects and donors.
- Plans and implements appropriate solicitation strategies for corporate donors and will be responsible for analyzing program results and meeting targeted goals.
4. Donor Recognition
- Develops, establishes, and administers a corporate donor recognition program which provides donors special access to the health system resource publications and invitations to presentations/workshops, as well as an annual recognition event.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Requires bachelor’s degree and 7 years of non-profit fundraising experience with demonstrated success building and growing corporate programs in a large and complex environment.
- Work requires knowledge of fundraising theories, principals, concepts, and techniques, program planning and evaluation, strong oral and written communication skills, and advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Raiser’s Edge.
- Work requires problem solving and conceptual skills sufficient to make recommendations and implement fund raising strategies for corporate programs.
- Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively interact with a wide variety of Sheppard Pratt employees, physicians, and community leaders; speak knowledgeably and persuasively on behalf of Sheppard Pratt to corporations and patient’s families.
- Work requires meeting deadlines, responding promptly to donor requests for information, and managing the demands of multiple projects.

The pay range for this position is $93,953.60 minimum to $154,814.40 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
