Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Chef at Sheraton Edison Hotel Raritan Center, located in Edison, NJ. The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food quality. Day-to-day tasks include managing kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health regulations, maintaining inventory, and fostering a positive and efficient kitchen environment. The Executive Chef will also be responsible for budgeting, ordering supplies, and creating innovative dishes to enhance the guest experience.
Qualifications
- Culinary skills: Extensive experience in menu planning, food preparation, and kitchen management
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
- Compliance: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and experience in maintaining compliance
- Financial skills: Budgeting, inventory management, and ordering supplies skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred
