Job Summary
The Reservations & Revenue Manager is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of the reservations department and supports the revenue strategy. The role implements strategies that deliver performance and guest service to meet and exceed the needs and expectations of ownership, the Sheraton Brand, guests and associates while maximizing the financial performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reservations management and a deep understanding of the hotel industry.
Salary range based on experience $80,000 - $90,000 per year.
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue Management, Director of Rooms and Director of Sales to maximize guestroom revenues
- Manage group room blocks and ensure group coordinators are overseeing cutoff dates, attrition, and corresponding with clients, sales managers, and conference services managers in a timely manner
- Is a strategic partner to the Sales and Marketing team with regards to negotiating and booking optimal group and catering business to ensure meeting space and food & beverage optimization
- Monitor guest inquiries by phone, email and/or fax
- Partner with the front office daily to maximize revenue through effective inventory management, upselling and sell-out strategies
- Collaborate with the accounting team as needed on billing and commissions
- In partnership with the strategy team execute daily weekly and monthly 30-60-90-day forecasts and annual budget
- Represent the hotel by participating in and/or conducting market industry functions as applicable
- Receive and manage guest complaints and ensure timely corrective action is taken
- Recruit, select, and retain a best-in-class operations team
- Coach and mentor the group reservations team and facilitate ongoing training to ensure they perform their job functions to the highest standard
- Plan and facilitate team meetings and daily debriefings
- Champion a “4 Keys to Creating Guests for Life” approach to service
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with hotel and applicable laws
- Follow all additional duties as assigned by management
Job Requirements
- Excellent work organization – ability to problem solve and respond to changing conditions or unexpected events with grace
- Positive, outgoing and professional attitude with a passion for guest service
- 2-year leadership experience in guest relations, reservations or front office
- Knowledge of Marriott Systems is preferred
- Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications required
- Ability to work independently and cohesively as part of a team
