Job Description
The Victim Services Coordinator plays a critical role in establishing and maintaining communication with victims and witnesses of crime, ensuring they are informed of their statutory rights and provided with necessary services and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise between victims/witnesses and the prosecuting attorney to share information and provide written summaries of communication.
- Inform victims/witnesses of their statutory rights through various channels, including phone, letter, and referrals.
- Coordinate logistics for interpreters, witnesses, travel, meals, and necessary clothing when required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Crisis Intervention, Psychology, or related field.
- At least one year of work experience in crisis intervention or relevant field.
- Ability to maintain complete logs of contacts with victims and their support networks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
