We are seeking a dynamic Senior Accounting Analyst to support our manufacturing client's North American Accounting and Operations This role is vital in driving financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, optimizing treasury functions, and supporting strategic initiatives including ERP implementations and operational improvements. The ideal candidate will bring deep accounting expertise, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for delivering results in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting to support a strong accounting foundation for manufacturing operations
- Standardize and optimize the use of operational and financial data across the consumer packaging business
- Collaborate with IT and operations to develop and automate system-generated reports leveraging ERP capabilities for improved accuracy and speed
- Enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and best practices across manufacturing sites
- Act as a financial advisor and strategic partner to Business Controlling and COE teams on process improvement initiatives
- Prepare and analyze monthly consolidated financial reports, including plant-level performance and variance analyses
- Lead accounting analysis related to deferred revenue, leases, and key balance sheet areas
- Support the adoption and implementation of new accounting standards across the organization
- Drive ERP system rollouts, including back-office accounting transitions to COE
- Improve the month-end close process, standardizing checklists and workflows across plant and corporate finance teams
- Develop robust inventory reporting by site; provide insights to drive inventory accuracy and reduce working capital
- Lead inventory cycle count initiatives, ensuring compliance with control standards and accurate reporting
- Oversee capital expenditure tracking and reporting; ensure timely updates to the Fixed Asset register
- Lead cash flow forecasting and support treasury activities aligned with manufacturing needs
- Manage and monitor customer-funded equipment programs, ensuring timely and secure payments
- Prepare audit and tax support packages, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
- Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for manufacturing and packaging operations
- Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and strategic business initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Accounting preferred
- CPA designation preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in public accounting and industry accounting, ideally within manufacturing or consumer packaging
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships across departments, including operations and finance
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven with a strong work ethic
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (experience with manufacturing-focused ERPs preferred)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a high-volume environment
- Experience analyzing and presenting financial data in a manufacturing context
