Position Purpose:
Perform general warehouse tasks including but not limited to picking, packing, handling, product put- away, pre-kitting, unloading, cleaning, etc. based on the volume and type of work available and within the efficiency expectations of the specified work.
Requirements:
Responsibilities:
- Use handheld scanners to pick and fill orders from stock.
- Utilize Warehouse Management System to enter order details and ship orders.
- Move freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers by hand or with equipment.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves and pallets.
- Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with product.
- Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
- Organize and wrap products and pallets.
- Measure, weigh, and count products and materials.
- Operate staple gun safely and effectively
- Handle delicate and sensitive products with care, and report damage or missing inventory to supervisors.
- Ensure the workspace is free of debris and safety hazards.
- Be attentive and practice the guidelines of warehouse safety.
- Take notice of any issues that might be slowing down workflow and report it to supervisors.
- Assist in various areas of the warehouse as needed.
Nature and Scope:
- Train with Team Leads and experienced associates.
- Maintain a basic understanding of Warehouse Management System and handheld scanners.
- Work in multiple departments within the warehouse as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Dependable attendance.
- Successful communication.
Environment:
- Prolonged periods of standing and moving while carrying or pushing product and equipment.
- This position will be done in a heated warehouse.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds often.
