Job Description:
Sherrill Construction Company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Construction Office Assistant to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for providing administrative support in the office, assisting with the coordination of daily construction activities, and ensuring smooth operations within the office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with general front office tasks; including (but not limited to) answering phones, responding to emails, greeting visitors and maintaining/managing office supplies.
- Maintain and organize project documents and contracts.
- Process and track subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, and invoices.
- Support the project management and accounting team with project-related data entry.
- Ensure accurate and timely communication between field teams, contractors, and suppliers.
- Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and other documents related to upcoming and ongoing projects.
- Book and manage travel arrangements for team members and contractors.
- Handle administrative tasks such as updating databases and filing documents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient office environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in business or related field is a plus).
- Previous experience in a construction or office administrative role is plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
