Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring accurate stock counts, and supporting the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position requires strong analytical skills and familiarity with inventory management systems. The Inventory Specialist will collaborate with various departments to optimize supplier management and materials handling.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock counts and audits.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and manage stock levels effectively.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in the management of suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
- Support e-commerce operations by ensuring that inventory levels align with online sales demands.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to streamline inventory processes.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently as needed.
- Implement materials management best practices to enhance operational efficiency within the warehouse.
Requirements
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data from Nielsen or similar systems.
- Knowledge of e-commerce inventory processes is advantageous.
- Experience in supplier management and logistics coordination is desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across departments.
