Responsibilities
Social Media Community Management:
Participate in content calendars planning and partner closely with social and creative team members to ensure content is engaging, informative and on-brand. Identify the role of social media in the context of integrated communications strategies and provide subject-matter expertise across various functions.
Facilitate social media marketing initiatives that build Sherwin-Williams’ brand awareness, customer loyalty and increase sales opportunities by generating compelling, informative, and entertaining content to be shared across PSG social media channels. Work with cross functional teams (marketing, marketing communications, legal, creative services, agencies) to bring ideas to life to enhance the customer experience on Sherwin-Williams social channels.
Work within provided tools and native channels to pull and analyze social media data and provide insights that will aid goal completion and ultimately inform social media strategy.
Additional responsibilities may include reputation management, influencer/creator content reviews, collaboration with marketing communications strategy team to ensure content meets marketing objectives, maintaining relationships with key national accounts, partnering with media team to optimize integrations and provide social subject matter expertise, and assisting with employee content programs. Filling in for other social media roles and content/editorial support as needed.
Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. Social Media Community Management:
- Engage positively with users on behalf of the brand via primary channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.). Praise, assist, or otherwise support users who share successful projects or reach out with questions.
- Resolve community management issues that arise. This can include communication with teams across the company; including Brand Marketing, Legal, Product Marketing, HR/Loss Prevention, and/or community management counterparts across the global organization.
- Manage Surprise & Delight campaigns for brands by identifying suitable recipients, coordinating gift package shipping, and continuing the relationship with the user following package delivery.
- Carry out established user generated content (UGC) processes. Maintain accurate data regarding usage rights, products or projects featured, and enable access to these assets to other functions as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, New Media, Public Relations, English, Journalism, or related fields.
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a social media marketing role
- Excellent knowledge of all social media channels and takes proactive effort to stay on top of trending topics, functions, algorithms, new channels and content forms.
- Outstanding organizational, communication (verbal / presentation / written), and interpersonal skills with track record of partnering with and presenting to management.
- Ability to partner with internal teams and external agencies on content concepting, creation and execution of social media initiatives.
- Knowledge of social media tools (such as Sprout Social, BazaarVoice Social Commerce (previously Curalate), Airtable) for scheduling/posting content, organizing data and managing user generated content.
- Understanding of KPIs across all social channels and experience pulling reports and organizing data and insights to drive decision making.
- Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and prioritize multiple duties that are assigned simultaneously and to work autonomously and proactively problem solve with sound business judgement, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with hands-on experience coordinating across multiple projects to meet timelines and manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly collaborative, knowing how to generate breakthrough social work while partnering with various teams along the way.
- 2 years of experience in a social media marketing role.
- Social media specific copy writing and copy editing experience
- Experience working with paid social media campaigns and/or advertising teams or agencies.
- Cross functional understanding of digital media, ecommerce and website strategy, PR and influencers/creators.

- Familiarity with social media management channels and tools
