Job Summary:
A Presales Partner Specialist primary focus is to understand and articulate technology by working closely with company’s strategic partners to assist Sales to support our customer’s technology needs. This position will act as the subject matter expert on product lines including latest technology, pricing programs and various Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) solutions. The Presales Partner Specialist will work to proactively foster relationships between our Sales, Marketing, Customers as well as various other departments. This position will report to the manager.

Responsibilities:
Including, but not limited to:
  • Assist Sales with product support, program information, configurations, and competitive advantages
  • Work to build awareness of partners' programs by creating marketing content and delivering training within the sales organization
  • Promote and Evangelize the Partner Brand within the companyby being a brand ambassador by representing Partner at sales facing events such as training webinars and table-top events
  • Work with Partner team(s) to grow the business or sales segmentby helping with quoting and building pricing with sales
  • Proactively work to develop and foster relationships between Partner(s) and Sellersby acting as the liaison and offering to make introductions and host conference calls
  • Represent the company at Industry and/or Partner events
  • Manage and resolve post sales requests and escalationssuch exception returns on defective products
  • Obtain and maintain necessary sales certifications as required by the company and Partner(s)
  • Coordinate Sales education on Partner(s) products and programs
  • Create & maintain Sales-rep and customer facing training decks and presentations
  • Manage and process Partner Deal Registration and/or other strategic pricing programs
  • Create and manage an opportunity pipeline either in Excel or Teams
  • Create and maintain content on internal team sites
  • Work with Sales to deliver customer calls, roadmaps, and presentations
  • Be a subject matter expert and provide support to both customers and Partner Program Development Director
  • Act as a primary contact for program, pricing, and product questions for partner(s)
  • Assist the roll out, presentation and execution of OEM sales programs
  • Facilitate deal registration process for supported OEM partner(s)
  • Advise Sales Representatives of partner best practices and industry trendsby continually learning about company’s Partner and the IT industry
  • Assist with RFP Responsesby making product recommendations, developing a strategic pricing strategy, and assisting with sourcing
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1 year Sales experience (Inside or Outside Sales) or Sales support-related role

  • Be able to provide excellence and be the subject matter expert
  • Confident ability to act as primary contact for program, pricing, and product questions for partner(s)
  • Ability to assist the roll out, presentation and execution of OEM sales programs
  • Sincere abilities to proactively work to develop and foster relationships between OEM partners and sales rep
  • Ability to communicate and advise Sales Representatives of partner best practices and industry trends
  • Ability to assist Sales Representatives with customer calls and presentations
  • Ability to work as part of a team to support partner support requirements and to assist with activities when required and requested
  • Skillful in content management in posting and maintaining partner-related content on internal team site
  • Ability to represent our company at industry events and conferences
  • Ability to maintain necessary sales or required technical certifications within product segment or solution area
  • Skillful in the coordination of sales training on products and programs
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
  • Experience selling hardware
  • Experience with internal tools such as Outlook, Excel, Business Intellect, and Customer Resource Management
Certifications Required:
  • Certification may be required based on compliance with Partner marketing program courses and deadlines are determined by the Partner
Unique Requirements:
  • Position may require 5% of travel for trainings, conferences, or other activities
