We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and creative individuals to join our theater staff for an exciting 8-week summer program. You will be working closely with children ages 7-14 in a dynamic theater environment, guiding them through activities such as acting, improv, music, and choreography. The goal is to nurture their imagination, build their self-esteem, and put on a fun and interactive performance at the end of the session.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and assist with daily theater activities, including acting exercises, games, improvisation, and performance preparation.
- Encourage positive behavior and collaboration among children.
- Help create and rehearse a final theater performance to showcase the children's talents.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants.
- Supervise and engage with campers during breaks, lunch, and other activities.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of materials for performances and rehearsals.
- Maintain clear communication with camp directors, staff, and parents as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for working with children and a love of theater arts.
- Previous experience in teaching, acting, or working with children is a plus.
- Ability to engage and inspire children of varying ages and skill levels.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Positive, patient, and energetic attitude.
- Must be available for the full 8-week program duration (39 days).
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus, but not required.
