Shields Manufacturing, a leading manufacturer of precision components, is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team on a night shift schedule.
The successful candidate will possess strong machine shop skills, ability to work with decimals, and comfortable working with close tolerances. They will be responsible for operating lathes, setting up jobs, and running first parts.

Responsibilities:
- Operate various lathes, including Mori Seiki, Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2, and Manual Lathe.
- Set up jobs, calculate machining factors, and process offset changes unassisted.
- Check parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.
- Verify conformance of completed work.
Requirements:
- Extensive machine shop/metal working skills.
- Able to work with decimals and comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths).
- Ability to set up your own jobs and run first part.
- Ability to adjust programs if required.
