Work Schedule
We are looking for a Highly Experienced or Journeyman level Machinist for a Swing/Night Shift position: 3:30p-2am Monday - Thursday, with a 10% Shift Differential.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reading and understanding drawings
- Starting and observing machine operation
- Calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors
- Processing offset changes unassisted
- Checking parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices
- Verifying conformance of completed work
- Working on lathes such as Mori Seiki (NLX2500, NLX3000, NLX4000, NZX2000), Hitachi Seiki, Nakamura Tome, Haas TL-2, Manual Lathe
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive machine shop/metal working skills
- The ability to work with decimals
- Comfortable working with close tolerances (thousandths)
- The ability to set up their own jobs and run the first part
- The ability to adjust programs if required
