Description

The Director of Medical Imaging will provide technical and operational leadership to a team comprised of scientists and software developers to develop multimodal 3D medical imaging applications to enable efficient workflows in the Cath Lab. She/he will work with KOL's, engineering teams, Marketing, and Clinical teams to fuse, analyze, and visualize data from various imaging modalities in real-time. This is a full time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

• Architect and develop imaging applications and algorithms to ingest imaging data, process it, analyze it and display it for users or communicate it to other subsystems.
• Perform 3D reconstructions by using state-of-the-art algorithms and deep learning tools.
• Work with cross-functional project teams to extract features of interest with computationally efficient approaches to meet latency un frequency update requirements.
• Work closely with software engineering to develop applications that can be scaled and productized.
• Work collaboratively with other researchers and application development engineers in all product development phases to identify feasible and necessary medical signal/image methods to deliver high-quality commercial medical imaging products.
• Establish and manage strategic collaborations with external groups to augment or complement internal development efforts.
• Develop roadmap of imaging features to support use cases required for the pipeline of targeted procedures.

Education & Work Experience

• Master's in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field with emphasis on medical image reconstruction and analysis (Ph.D. or equivalent work experience preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience, with 5 years leading technical teams of scientists and engineers to develop medical imaging algorithms and applications.
• Proven track record of delivering software for medical imaging and/or Software as a Medical Device.
• Strong background in 3D reconstruction algorithms, computer vision, machine learning and deep learning.
• Hands-on experience developing production level code in C .
• Proven track record solving challenging algorithm problems and coming up with innovative and practical solutions.
• Ability to keep up with latest advances and research in the field of medical imaging and computer vision.
• Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver imaging applications.
• Presence in the medical imaging community through conferences and publications.
• History of growing teams and experience in a startup environment a strong plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $175,000 to $220,000 equity benefits.
