Qualifications
- Local Candidate with the ability to commute to office in York, PA (Required)
- US work authorization (Required)
- 5 - 10 years Construction/Field Experience (Required)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reading plans, completing takeoffs, and procuring vendor quotes.
- Attend Prebid meetings and bid openings.
- Understanding the job scope process including site logistics, unforeseen and existing conditions, and constructability issues.
- Provide support to estimators to help develop applicant's understanding of estimating process.
- Construct estimates for review.
- Write and send out proposals
- Developing and maintaining productive customer and vendor relationships.
Key Skills:
- Excellent phone and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle constantly and quickly changing project demands and situations.
- Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress.
- Excellent knowledge of the MS suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Capable of reading Blueprints/Drawings.
- Basic understanding of cost and price development.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Use of HCSS estimating / take off software
- Familiarity with PennDot work a plus
Travel:
- Position will be based out of York, PA but candidate will need to be able to travel to visit jobs and customers regularly.
