- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in residents' health status.
- Ensure adherence to resident rights and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to assist residents with mobility or transfers.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Support individuals with disabilities, ensuring their specific needs are met.
Experience
- Previous experience in a group home or nursing home setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with vital signs monitoring and basic first aid techniques is advantageous.
- Understanding of resident rights and the importance of maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines is essential.
- A background in working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members are crucial.
