Job Summary
As a LPN specializing in Medical/Surgical care, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in a hospital setting. Your expertise and compassion will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of patients under your care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions
- Perform triage to prioritize patient needs effectively
- Provide patient education on various medical conditions and treatments
- Assist with procedures such as spinal taps and botulinum toxin treatments
- Offer support and care for patients receiving hospice or home care services
- Implement standards of care to maintain quality and safety
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements:
- 2 years of Med Surg experience including Post Op experience
- Tele Strip Reading experience encouraged
- Hospital experience strongly desired
- travel experience desired
- ability to float internally to other like units
Certification Requirements
- BLS (AHA)
State License Requirements
- Iowa
- Compact Allowed
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
