Material Handling Day Technician (PVC)
Reports to:
Material Handling Supervisor
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
POC and Oversight for
all PVC bulk-loading activities
all track maintenance activities
all rail-switching activities
BDS issues/service tickets
BDS content changes
INET issues/service tickets
BDS data entry
Subject Matter Expert (SME)
Shintech procedure use
Shintech ownership
Shintech procedure development
Lead Role for
Nested service provider directives, liaison, and general safety
Primary back up for PVC1 & 2 DCC
All daily PVC domestic reporting i.e. Hopper cars loaded/unloaded, Hopper trucks,
SE pond resin pick-ups
Load records, scale tickets, BOL’s,
Entering requisitions for purchase
Weekly HT scheduling coordination with the traffic team
Oversee all site-critical equipment
Utilization for all leased/owned equipment critical to operations i.e. track mobiles and locomotives.
Site scales testing, calibration, performance, and general maintenance
PVC loading equipment and general maintenance
Entering WO’s
Advanced troubleshooting
Maintenance meetings/backlog oversight
LOTO oversight
Technical Validation
HC weights, inbound MT’s
Truck scales
Weekly scale cross-checks
Backup site weighmaster
On-call/Emergency response
PVC related issues
Rail and track-related issues
PVC Production
Monitor production schedule issuance, changes, and cascade throughout PVC workgroup
Collaborate with PVC production on grade change
Education and Experience:
Required
High School diploma/GED equivalent.
Three to 5 years of experience in logistics, MH/operations, plant production, and/or loading/warehouse operations.
Preferred
Prior supervising experience.
Prior work in a chemical facility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Microsoft Office applications required.
Well-developed interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Flexible, adaptable, and organized; can handle numerous tasks simultaneously without losing focus; ability to properly prioritize work.
Self-motivated, able to perform with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of and experience in safety, occupation health, and fire protection.
Ability to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card
Ability to work within a team environment – understands role and purpose in the overall team

Ability to track and trend data using VBA programming through various software applications
Ability to write procedures and work instructions

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Regularly required to push, pull, bend, climb, and perform long periods of standing and walking on cement foundations.
Occasionally required to stoop and kneel.
Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to coordinate the movement of eyes, hands, feet, and fingers to operate tools and equipment.
Required to be medically certified for respirator and medically fit for duty.
Use of PPE required in specific areas.
Work in different weather conditions, under emergency conditions, and for prolonged periods of time.
