Shippy's Southampton is looking for a friendly and passionate General Manager who is looking to join a growing team. An iconic Hamptons institution that was established in 1954 and re-branded in 2023 under the leadership of John Betts - Shippy's is a neighborhood spot and local's favorite. Our ideal candidate will have a natural warmth and huge smile. You will act as a brand ambassador for the restaurant, being every guest's first point of contact. You must be empathetic, efficient and energetic! You need to stay cool in times of high volume and be proactive in the quieter moments to prepare and plan for your shift. We want people who love making our guests happy and will fill the restaurant with their energy.
Role requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Proven experience in restaurant management and hospitality management (3 years in an upper-level management position)
- Strong skills in staff training and team management
- Proficient in food service management and kitchen management
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Background in food preparation and inventory control
- Experience with P&L reviews and using a budget to achieve financial targets
- Controlling FOH costs - payroll, beverage, etc.
- Providing a high level of guest interaction and service standard
- Be able to multi-task and meet the needs of many guests in a timely manner

Compensation Details: $85,000 to $105,000 based on experience
