Job Title: Dine' Culture and Language Teacher
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly qualified educator to teach Dine' language and culture classes to students at Shiprock Associated Schools, Inc. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Navajo language and culture, as well as experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Dine' language and culture classes to students in grades K-12.
- Develop and implement culturally responsive lesson plans that meet the needs of students.
- Collaborate with teachers and administrators to develop and implement educational programs that promote cultural awareness and understanding.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field.
- Master's degree in linguistics or a related field preferred.
- Experience teaching Dine' language and culture classes.
- Strong understanding of Navajo culture and language.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as generous paid time off and holidays.
