Job Summary
The Sales and Training Executive is responsible for the management and performance of Shiseido’s business in their assigned territory doors.Also, accountable for achieving company objectives relating to retail and net sales productivity, inventory management, marketing program execution, budget/resource control and profitability. Key Human Resource responsibilities include the selection, professional development, education and motivation of Shiseido Beauty Consultants and related counter personnel. Core Shiseido counter animation, marketing and merchandising activities must be maintained to develop new customers and existing loyal clientele, as well as develop and nurture a business relationship with retail partners.
Essential Job Duties
Recruiting, Interviewing, Hiring
- Maintains close communication networking with region team members, account principles, and specific door personnel. Must be aware of possible candidates from outside the cosmetic arena including other retail and service businesses. Recruits on a daily basis.
- Maintains complete knowledge of effective, legal interviewing skills. Conducts thorough interviews allowing ample time (minimum 30 minutes) to completely cover all aspects of interviewee’s qualifications and requirements of position.
- Fills open positions on a timely basis to reduce counter days open without a Beauty Consultant. Hires candidates who will productively thrive in Shiseido corporate culture.
Human Resource Development, Education
- Beauty Consultants, Counter Managers, Business Managers, Account Coordinators
- Immediately upon hiring, inform Administration Department to send Personal Training Agenda package.Instructs Beauty Consultant how to use and learn from Personal Training Agenda. Coordinates with Training Executive to assess progress and eligibility for seminar attendance. Works one on one with new and experienced Beauty Consultants (in-store) on developing Beauty Method skills, customer attraction and development skills, product merchandising, and counter maintenance. Work with Training Executive to assess progress and eligibility for seminar attendance. Follows up on materials covered in Personal Training Agenda, Business Building Seminars, and Seasonal Modules. Conducts Counter Manager meetings to develop strategies, set goals and refine business and customer skills.
- Beauty Consultants. Works with Training Executives to develop training strategies for account groups. Puts individual skills into action at counter to teach by example.
- Challenge Beauty Consultants to grow in their positions by teaching new skills, and developing new customers.Recognizes achievements and assists in areas of opportunity.
Inventory Management
- By Door, plans, monitors, and maintains sufficient inventory by stock keeping unit, brand, and category to support achievement of net and retail sales objectives. Communicates and coordinates inventory needs with Headquarter Account Executive, Cosmetic Buying Office, Cosmetic Inventory Analyst, and Executive Sales Director. Works with all above to change SKU models by door to reflect sales trend and need.
Resource Management
- By door, manages/maximizes use of marketing and sales promotion seasonal resources such as samples, value sets, promotional sets, and collateral materials. Evaluates retail trends to determine resource movement against sales plan assigned to each door.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develops Door Growth Strategies, in conjunction with Executive Sales Director.
- Plan and executes seasonal marketing and sales promotion activities.
- Plan and execute customer development and service events.
- Assist in major events and new store openings when needed.
- Assists in developing seasonal marketing and sales promotion calendar.
- Forecast, achieve and report retail and net sales objectives.
