Key Responsibilities
- Champion Safety: Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs that promote a Zero Injury Culture.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct site inspections to identify and mitigate physical hazards and safety risks.
- Incident Investigation: Lead accident investigations and collaborate with external agencies to provide insights for corrective actions.
- Emergency Response: Assist with directing the Emergency Response Team, providing tactical oversight during emergencies and drills.
- Program Oversight: Oversee specific safety programs such as lockout/tagout, mobile equipment, and medical surveillance.
- Training & Awareness: Provide clear and effective training on safety policies, hazards, and emergency procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Support environmental initiatives, audits, and the implementation of ISO standards like 14001 and future 45001.
What We’re Looking For:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience: Ideally 2-5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead safety training and provide recommendations.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory compliance, ergonomics, and safety engineering principles.
- Proactive Attitude: Ability to take initiative, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Tools: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
