Job Description
We’re looking for an Estimator. You’ll be part of an exceptional design team that possesses vast industry knowledge and years of experience. You’ll analyze blueprints, estimate project costs, and prepare custom proposals for new and existing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Review blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to identify all necessary materials, labor, and equipment.
Gather and analyze estimates on materials, labor, equipment, and other requirements
Estimate project costs, including direct and indirect costs, contingency planning, and profit margins.
Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for clients and project managers.
Develop budgets and cost forecasts for projects.
Utilize estimating software and tools to manage cost data and generate reports.
Review and revise estimates when needed to address issues, constraints, or additions.
Key Requirement:
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
Familiarity with software and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to identify and assess risks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively with a team.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant experience in construction estimating is highly valued.
