What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Technician - Injection Molding position at SHL Medical?
Responsibilities:
- Operate injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts
- Set up, operate/process, maintain, monitor and control injection molding equipment including resin drying and conveying, injection molding machines, hot runners and molds, fluid temperature control systems and robot/automation
- Monitor production process and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance tasks
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent required (AAS degree in related field preferred, or equivalent military training or industrial training or an equivalent combination of education experience
- Knowledge/experience in the following areas: crane operation, compressed air/pneumatic actuators and systems, electro-mechanical controls, robotics, optical sensor systems, resin drying, molds, fluid thermal control systems, hot runners and injection molding machines
- 2 years proven track record in injection molding
- Demonstrated ability to support & actively participate in event response activities in highly automated / 24/7 production settings
- Able to document problems & works to bring them rapidly to solution
