Position Overview:
Shoal Creek Foot & Ankle Center is seeking a Part-Time Medical Receptionist with prior experience in a medical office setting. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a steady flow of patients. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients in person and over the phone with professionalism and compassion.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
- Verify patient information and update electronic health records (EHR).
- Check insurance eligibility and obtain necessary documentation.
- Collect copays and process patient payments.
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient flow and minimize wait times.
- Monitor office supplies and ensure the front desk is well-stocked and organized.
Qualifications:
- Medical office experience required.
- Experience using an EHR required; willing to train on Nextgen Office.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while staying calm under pressure.
- Must wear scrubs provided by the clinic as part of the dress code.
This is a fast-paced role in a high-volume clinic (100-120 patients per day), so we are looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and can keep operations running smoothly.
