THE ROLE
A camera, a growing company, and a great team—what more could you ask for? The Photographer at Shoe Palace will support initiatives, sales goals, and store marketing efforts. We are looking for someone full-time and dedicated to the position.
Range:$20.00-$24.00

The photographer will capture images of people, settings, events, and products, using their artistic and technical skills to create high-quality visuals. They will also be responsible for maintaining all camera equipment, including lights, lenses, and tripods. After capturing photos, they will edit, resize, and enhance images using Photoshop, Illustrator, or other editing software to meet brand standards.
THIS IS WHAT A DAY AT WORK MAY BE LIKE…
• Design and set up creative photo shoots, utilizing props, backgrounds, and lighting to enhance compositions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot camera equipment, including lighting, lenses, and tripods, ensuring everything is in working order.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to provide photos for campaigns, promotions, and other marketing initiatives.
• Support the development and design team with visual content for various digital platforms.
• Edit, resize, and enhance images using Photoshop, Illustrator, or other photo editing software, including applying quick branding elements or watermarks.
• Communicate effectively with the buying team regarding incoming merchandise, inventory levels, and image needs.
• Knowledge of lighting techniques to achieve high-quality images.
ABOUT YOU…
• Broad working knowledge of Photoshop and DSLR photography
• Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Strong creative aesthetic
• Open to change with a genuine, high-energy attitude
It would be great but not completely necessary to have…
• Copyediting and/or writing experience
• Familiarity with video editing software (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
• Understanding of print production and preparation for press
• Fashion styling experience is a plus
THE TECH…
• Experience using Adobe programs (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
• Ability to work with complex layered Illustrator files
• Comfortable building print-ready files in Illustrator and InDesign
• Adept at basic Photoshop retouching
• Familiarity with various file types
