Summary:
As our HR Employee Relations Specialist, you will serve as a key resource in supporting employees and management, ensuring a work environment where people feel valued, heard, and supported. You will be responsible for handling employee concerns, conducting investigations, overseeing workers’ compensation claims, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and collaborating on HR policies.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as an advisor and problem-solver in employee relations matters, handling concerns and disciplinary actions with professionalism and fairness.
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation cases, from intake to resolution, ensuring compliance with state regulations and timely reporting.
- Analyze workplace issues to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for improved employee relations.
- Maintain accurate records and utilize HRIS systems to document employee resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, ADA, and labor regulations.
- Collaborate with HR partners to support company-wide policy updates, training programs, and compliance initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews, analyze feedback, and recommend improvements based on employee experience.
- Assist with HR projects and initiatives, contributing to a supportive and dynamic HR environment.
Qualifications:
- HR or Employee Relations experience with 3-5 years with a strong background in coaching and conflict resolution.
- Preferably a Degree or certification in Human Resources (or equivalent work experience).
- Knowledgeable of Federal and State labor laws and the ability to apply regulations effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills—both verbal and written.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word Excel and Outlook) and HRIS systems.
- Ability to travel occasionally (<5% of time).
